About Me

Approach

I bring a unique set of skills and experience to counseling and coaching. With 35 years of extensive work in Corporate America, non-profits and Mental Health, I am able to create space that is both therapeutic and actionable. My Doctorate and Master’s degrees in Leadership, Education, Professional Counseling and Marriage Family Therapy allow me to draw from overlapping disciplines in my practice. This breath of knowledge enables me to help you as a leader and individual, in your family, community or workplace, gain insight and understanding of where you are emotionally, mentally and/or spiritually stuck and provide practical tools and experiences to help you heal and move forward.

Formal Education & Training

I hold a Doctorate in Transformational Leadership from Bakke Graduate University, Masters Degrees in Professional Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from George Fox University and a Masters of Education from San Diego State University. I have an undergraduate degree in Speech Communication with a minor in Spanish from the University of Washington.

Licensure

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) for the State of Oregon. I abide by the Code of Ethics.

Certifications

I am certified to administer the Meyers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the Core Values Inventory (CVI), the Team Management Index (TMI), the Leadership Skills Index (LSI) and the Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI).

Personal

I am a parent of three adult children with my husband of 35 years. In my time alone I enjoy athletic activities, time outdoors, reading and writing. I am passionate about learning and living my life on purpose. By this I mean living my life both with intentionality and goals. I bring this dedication to my work with clients helping them to live on purpose. My interest is helping you heal from and confront and deal with what keeps you stuck in order to gain a sense of peace and direction.

Professionally, I spent 18 years working for several large organizations as a leadership and organization consultant, to include Arthur Andersen and Intel. For the last 15 years I have focused on leadership coaching and individual, couples and family counseling.

I have found in my life as well as with others, when healthy change occurs in one person, others in their family, community and organizations benefit. I draw upon many areas of my life to help me be an effective counselor and coach; my education, Christian faith, work experience and life experiences.
